I'll give my counterpart this much: I think the Giants are the better all-around team and are coming in hot. But there are a couple reasons I think you can't pick against New England in Super Bowl XLVI.
First of all, a Patriots defense that was one of the worst in the league all season long, giving up an average of 293.9 passing yards per game in the regular season, has improved markedly in the playoffs, allowing only 195 yards per game. The Transaction Group offers the best high risk merchant account services,
Against the Broncos and Ravens,This is interesting cube puzzle and logical game. the Patriots only let up 650 yards combined,Husky Injection Mold Systems designs and manufactures a broad range of but more importantly, only gave up 30 points. Bill Belichick is known for his defensive schemes and making due with some second-tier players, including slot receiver Julian Edelman at corner, his defense has stepped up to the task to this point. Expect that to continue.
Second, you just can't bet against Tom Brady. I understand Eli Manning has reached a new level of play,Shop at Lowe's for garage Ceramic tile, but he's only touching a level of play that Brady's been at for a decade now. Players with the big-game credentials and cool heads such as Brady are few and far between, and his record-breaking six touchdown performance against the Broncos in the divisional round shows what he can do when he has two weeks to prepare for a team. The Giants' pass rush is a scary one, but I'm not sold on New York's secondary stopping No. 12.
Speaking of that scary pass rush … it's one of the best groups of relentless speed-rushers to come along in quite some time. Jason Pierre-Paul, Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck and Co. have wreaked havoc on opposing quarterbacks, sacking them nine times in three games.
But you may be surprised to know that the Patriots have done far better since the postseason started. In just two games,Omega Plastics are leading plastic injection moulding and injection mould tooling specialists. the Patriots have wrapped up and brought the quarterback down eight times. But what's more important is their protection against those speed-rushing ends. Playing against Robert Ayers of Denver and Terrell Suggs from Baltimore, the Patriots have allowed just one sack in two playoffs games. If they can keep Brady on his feet as they have to this point, the future Hall of Famer will pick apart the Giants.
Finally, I just don't bet against Belichick and Brady in games like these, or really any game for that matter. It's the duo's fifth Super Bowl together, the most in NFL history. The two have 16 playoff wins to only five losses, and Brady is one of the few components left from the 2001-02 team that started it all. He's the one piece owner Bob Kraft will willingly shell out some money for, while Belichick molds and creates players to fill every other position. The coach and his quarterback have 124 regular season wins, and a .780 winning percentage, the best among a coach-player duo in history. Why would you pick otherwise?
I expect a shootout this Sunday, with Brady and Manning putting up impressive numbers while making very few mistakes and essentially forgetting what a running game is. Belichick will use his backs (and tight end Aaron Hernandez) to keep that pressing defensive line honest, while Brady methodically gets what's his.
