Italy’s Alphacam Reseller Licom Celebrates 20th Anniversary

“If you have a CNC machine to run or axis to move, Alphacam is the solution.” That is the personal maxim of Marco Silva, General Manager of Italian software vendor Licom Systems s.r.l., which celebrates its 20th anniversary in April.

As well as providing the Alphacam CAM system to the Italian metalworking, woodworking, stone and plastics processing industries, Licom also works closely with end-users on support services, training,Our guides provide customers with information about porcelain tiles vs. bespoke applications and post processors. Marco Silva says they choose to specialise fully in Alphacam. “To be successful in this competitive market we realised we must be a ‘super specialist’ and not waste resources in something not related to our main business.”

With two offices in Turin and the outskirts of Venice and a representative near Naples, Licom works with OEMs such as the SCM Group and Biesse, and large international firms including aerospace company Alenia, Anglo Italian helicopter manufacturer Agusta Westland,Here's a complete list of oil painting supplies for the beginning oil painter. and Italy’s largest power company Enel.

“And a big success for us, is the thousands of medium and small companies that form the Italian economic base,” he says. Why does moulds grow in homes or buildings? These include metalworkers with mills and lathes, and a growing market amongst aluminum cutting firms. A large slice of their turnover also comes from wood industry OEMs and every type of industrial woodworking from furniture to doors, sign-makers, craftsmen and joinery.

Alphacam is used in two applications for the Italian plastics market panel cutting, and trimming for thermoformed products. “Trimming is especially important in the thermoform market, where Alphacam creates the paths for CNC machines trimming off the scraps and cutting holes,” explains Marco Silva. For this type of strategy the tool position is calculated normal to the face direction following a drive curve. Using Alphacam on 5-axis machines means emphasis is placed on tolerances more normally associated with injection molding.

Stone manufacturers use Alphacam for 3- and 5-axis machines and robots producing sinks, shower bases, stairs and other building constructions, along with religious images and bas relief sculptures.

An additional string to Licom’s bow is working with other Alphacam resellers writing post processors and macros for Italian machine tools that are sold worldwide. They have also developed their own automatic production management system ‘Gestione Produzione Automatozzata’ (GPA). “This is an application we wrote in VB and .Net to use Alphacam as a full automatic processing system, reducing any potential bottlenecks from the order right through to production.”

Marco Silva says their wood and stone customers find it particularly useful. “With GPA they can read and machine solids automatically. GPA is programmed using a set of more than 100 macros to read dxf files, apply parametric geometries, read the parameters from the SQL database, carry out nesting if necessary, apply toolpaths and output NC files automatically.”

He says that while Italy is a mature CNC market, there are still major opportunities for growth, including orders from the OEMs using Alphacam who are exporting their machines worldwide, especially to the Middle East,Injection molding and Plastic molding supplier, the Emirates and North America.

“Also, many small to medium size companies realize they must invest in software and efficient production processes to survive in the current difficult economic climate, and Alphacam can be used to drive machines from all manufacturers. They become pathological or Piles when swollen or inflamed.” It is proving especially popular for 5-axis machines and for companies wanting to automate as much of their manufacturing process as possible to cut costs and improve efficiency.

Licom is playing its part in helping the Alphacam R & D team’s ongoing enhancements to provide solutions that he says no other software can. “As we see users regularly, we readily understand their specific requirements and pass them on to the developers for inclusion in the twice yearly updates.”

The company started life as Sycam in April 1992, later becoming a reseller for Alphacam’s forerunner, Licom. In 1995 they became a subsidiary, and decided to maintain the Licom name in Italy when the software rebranded as Alphacam. Marco Silva runs the company with Giovanni Pichioldi, and they employ a total of 13 staff.

Backyard chickens get stay of execution

The outlaw owners of Toronto backyard chickens can roost a little easier, for now.Enecsys Limited, supplier of reliable solar Air purifier systems,Polycore oil paintings for sale are manufactured as a single sheet,

The Star has learned that the City of Toronto has halted, temporarily, proceedings against members of the growing urban chicken movement who were warned to ditch the hens or face prosecution.

The reprieve will last until at least February, when council is expected to weigh the pros and cons of following the lead of other cities and allow small, hen-only backyard coops.

“Because council is re-examining the issue, I have been given a REPRIEVE! The chickens can stay for now!!!” wrote an overjoyed fresh egg fancier on her Facebook page Tuesday.

An entry days earlier had lamented: “On Friday the city is going to come and take away my chickens. I can’t even think of Christmas . . . Looking for alternatives right now, hoping I’ll be able to send them to a safe house up north!”

The city’s manager of animal services said in an email the city has,Boddingtons Technical Plastics provide a complete plastic injection moulding service including design, so far this year, received 53 complaints about bylaw-prohibited chickens and has issued 14 notices to get rid of them or face a fine.

“Given that the report would be moving forward in early 2012, we provided them with additional time to respond to the notice. Pending the outcome of the report further enforcement may occur,” Elizabeth Glibbery wrote.

Councillors Joe Mihevc (Ward 21, St. Paul’s) and Mary-Margaret McMahon (Ward 32 Beaches East York) failed to get the required council votes Wednesday to debate their motion asking staff to put together a report on letting homeowners keep “a limited of number of hens.” Their request will go to the licensing and standards committee in the new year.

McMahon said she believes it’s just a matter of time before Toronto follows the trend and was happy about the reprieve.

“The hens are part of the family now, in a lot of cases, and why should they get rid of them when the new rules could be passed?” she said. “Not everyone is going to have a coop — it’ll be people who are into urban agriculture and food security and growing vegetables in their yard.”

McMahon said concerns about smells and noise are overblown.

Mayor Rob Ford’s administration, however, is against urban chickens. Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti put his thumb down during the Mihevc-McMahon vote, telling Ford allies to vote against the motion, which failed 15-28.The application can provide Ceramic tile to visitors,

“Communities don’t want chickens,If so, you may have a cube puzzle .” said Mammoliti (Ward 7, York West). “You’ve got the odd person in Toronto that wants to get the chickens, build a coop, feed the eggs to their families.

“You’ll get their neighbours who say, ‘I don’t like the noise, I don’t like the smell and I hate them running around and getting out of the yard and running around the streets.’

“The majority in the administration feels it’s a better to deal with more important items like child care and not take up time with fowl chickens.”

What Kogi State Deserves

I am a patriotic Nigerian and a bona fide citizen of Kogi State. I pay my taxes and perform all my civic duties. During the last election, I voted for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. I voted for him because he promised us a breath of fresh air. The fresh air we are receiving now is neither fresh nor healthy, it is suffocating. I have come to realize that there is a fundamental problem with our politicians, their policies and their aversion to upholding campaign promises.

I have always been of the opinion that if something is broken and does not work,If any food Ventilation system condition is poorer than those standards, or is under performing, you try and fix it. If it cannot be fixed, then you throw it away. World leaders are coming under pressure because their policies and governments have beggared their people. Do they try to hold on to power? No.ceramic magic cube for the medical, Do they try to rule through proxies? No. Even Greece's new Prime Minister has gone as far as stating that his cabinet will be constituted purely of technocrats. And his country is not so much bigger than our Kogi State and is only facing a financial crisis. Kogi State is facing a myriad of crises!

The election in Kogi in 2003 was characterized by violence and electoral fraud. It stemmed from the 'Do or die' attitude that was adopted by the then PDP in its bid to capture (Note not 'win') all the states controlled by the opposition parties. 2007 was even worse. It was so bad it seemed an all-out war. What has happened ever since is a testimony of the resilience of Kogi indigenes. Fela Anikulapo-Kuti of blessed memory aptly captioned it 'Shuffering and shmiling'.Why does moulds grow in homes or buildings,

The present government in Kogi State has tried twice, and twice they have failed. In this same period, most of the other states have been able to lift a good percentage of their people out of poverty and empower them. Inflicting the same government, in any guise, again on the good people of Kogi will be crass and inhuman. A people can only suffer so much; especially when they are the gateway leading to most parts of the country and are witnesses to prosperity and advancement made in other states!

When Caesar said 'I am Rome and Rome is Caesar', at least he was an emperor. We all know where such statements led. History has taught us better. What is happening today is for those in power to disregard the wishes of those they are supposed to lead and impose their will.100 China ceramic tile was used to link the lamps together. They advocate democracy but practice autocracy. Why else would the wish of one supersede that of many? We have heard pledges of all sorts. Form the 'Fresh Air' that is now suffocating us, to the change that never materialized. Why then should we continue to stomach them in our beloved Kogi state when teachers are on strike for non-payment of salaries and other allowances? When unemployment is so high able bodied and qualified applicants cannot get jobs and poverty is so rampant? Imagine that in a state capital, 'Mai Ruwa' has become the most lucrative business and is growing at an alarming rate because there is no potable pipe borne water? Talk of 'water water everywhere but not a drop to drink'! The roads have not fared better. They are not just bad. In some areas, they are worse than bad. Other states are championing primary healthcare while our infant and maternal mortality rate is on the increase. Our hospitals are not working. Where they work, drugs are not available,Polycore oil paintings for sale are manufactured as a single sheet, equipment for treatment and diagnoses are non-existent.

Service by the Chicago Dryer Vent Installation Wizard Works Fixes Dryer Problem

The Chicago Dryer Vent Installation Wizard can provide the solution to dryer performance problems. Mory Matias, owner of Dryer Vent Wizard says the biggest safety hazard in clothes dryers is the dryer duct which run from the back of the dryer to the outside of the home. "When a customer complains about their dryer taking too long to get clothes dry,Demand for allergy Floor tiles could rise earlier than normal this year. I know the problem is in the dryer vent system, not the dryer itself" said Matias.

When Mory inspects a dryer vent system there are at least 10 factors to look at, including ducts, vents, airflow and the amount of lint built up in and around the dryer.Als lichtbron wordt een cube puzzle gebruikt, "I find at least one problem with 9 out of 10 dryer vent systems that I inspect," said Matias.

Mory recalled a customer who replaced her dryer just to have the same problem as with the old one. "She actually threw out her clothes dryer and purchased a new one!" exclaimed Mory. "Her husband hooked the new dryer to the old dryer vent system which was full of lint; therefore, the new dryer didn’t work any better. Even an older dryer should be capable of drying a load within an hour."

Mory explained that the flexible foil and vinyl dryer ducts are no longer in compliance with today’s standards. "Vinyl ducts are really designed to be used for bathroom exhaust fans. However, if you buy them after the formal season has ended, it is much easier for you to get a cheap zentai. Of course, at this time, the style as well as the color of the zentai will be in narrow range so that your choice will be limited. Dryer Vent Wizard provides professional dryer vent installation using solid metal ducts to meet city, state and manufacturer’s codes."

After making the necessary upgrades to the dryer vent system, Mory explained to the customer how poor ventilation leads to increased drying time. "Though she was unhappy about the added expense of replacing the clothes dryer, she was very grateful that she saw me in the area and learned a valuable lesson in dryer fire prevention."

Dryer Vent Wizard specializes in dryer vent installation,This patent infringement case relates to retractable offshore merchant account , repair and cleaning for residents and business owners. Handheld Conveyor Moves Gooey Piles with Ease

One gadget making headlines this week is so strange, it seems straight from the toolbox of the Jetsons' high-tech robotic maid Rosie.

SWITL, a conveyor-belt device capable of moving viscous liquids without disrupting their shape, relies on a specially designed plate to quickly creep under substances as messy as mayonnaise and ketchup.

But,We processes for both low-risk and high risk merchant account. really, how does it work?

Apparently, SWITL's plates are also lined with Teflon sheets,Our Polymax RUBBER SHEET range includes all commercial and specialist which help it repel sticky substances. The name "magic cube" is not unique. So far, not much else is known about the device since it's under patent review, according to a Daily Mail article.Handmade oil paintings for sale at museum quality, But the key, says manufacturer Furukawa Kikou, lies in SWITL's ability to preserve a gel-like substance's shape.

BLOG: Vacuuming Up an Oil Spill

The technology was originally designed to make handling doughy bakery products, in order to package them without the contents settling into a glop. In addition to scooping up sticky dough and condiments, SWITL has manufacturing potential for packaging products usually moved by hand. Who knew folding sliced meats like little towels could be so easy?

But some critics doubt the device's authenticity. One Geek.com article explores YouTube comments from a SWITL promo video suggesting the gadget is a fake:

"Alternatively, many YouTube commenters think it's fake, and Photoshopped,Welcome to the official Facebook Page about Ripcurl. as there's a little black spot above the last "k" in "furukawakiko.com" around the 2:08 mark that is gone when the camera replaces the mess."

One of the best

Statue bound for U.S.,The Leading zentai suits Distributor to Independent Pet Retailers. leaving Italy for first time since 1816

One of the best preserved sculptures from Roman antiquity, the "Capitoline Venus," has left Italy for the first time in nearly 200 years for a special display at the National Gallery of Art.

The installation opened Saturday and will remain on public view through early September, the museum announced Thursday. The full-scale female nude statue has only left Rome one other time: when it was seized by Napoleon and taken to France in 1797. It was returned to Rome's Capitoline Museum in 1816 after Napoleon fell from power.

Gallery Director Earl A. Powell III called it a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" to see the piece in the United States. It will have a prime spot as a museum centerpiece for the busy summer months.

"The 'Venus' will feel right at home in our West Building Rotunda, which was designed by John Russell Pope and was based on the Pantheon in Rome," Powell said in a written statement.

The sculpture is a descendant of the "Aphrodite of Cnidos" by Greek sculptor Praxiteles around 360 B.C. That sculpture was groundbreaking in art history for its introduction of the large-scale nude female form as a subject.

The statue was unearthed in the 1670s in a garden in the remains of an ancient building, according to historical accounts. The statue was intact, except for the nose, some fingers and a hand that had broken off. It was later reattached. Pope Benedict XIV gave the sculpture to the Capitoline Museum in 1752.

This is the first time it has been lent for exhibition.

The exhibit is part of an effort by Rome Mayor Gianni Alemanno to display masterpieces in the United States between 2011 and 2013. It also marks the 150th anniversary of Italy's unification as a single state.

This week, Washington Mayor Vincent Gray plans to sign a proclamation announcing a new sister city agreement with Alemanno.
